Walk Alongside Us

Volunteering with Seeds of Liberation CDC means showing up for your community in a real, meaningful way. We welcome people with lived experience, professional skills, and open hearts.

At Seeds of Liberation CDC, we believe meaningful community change happens when people come together, share their knowledge, and invest in one another.

Volunteering is more than giving your time. It is an opportunity to build relationships, strengthen communities, and contribute to pathways of restoration, opportunity, and belonging.

Whether you have professional expertise, practical skills, lived experience, or simply a desire to help, there is a place for you to contribute as our organisation grows.

Ways to Volunteer

Community Outreach & Engagement

Help us build meaningful relationships with individuals, families, organisations, and community partners. Volunteer opportunities may include supporting community events, sharing information about our programs, assisting with outreach efforts, and connecting community members with resources.

Workforce Development & Mentorship

Share your knowledge and experience to help individuals develop practical skills and prepare for employment opportunities. We welcome individuals interested in supporting resume development, interview preparation, career exploration, professional mentorship, financial literacy, and vocational skill-building.

Family Preservation & Parenting Support

Support our efforts to strengthen families and create opportunities for healthy relationships. As programs develop, volunteers may assist with family-centered activities, parenting workshops, resource coordination, educational materials, and community events designed to promote connection and belonging.

Agriculture, Gardening & Land Stewardship

Help us cultivate opportunities for learning, sustainability, and connection to the land. Future volunteer activities may include community gardening, planting, harvesting, maintaining growing spaces, agricultural education, and supporting community food initiatives. No previous farming or gardening experience is required for general volunteer activities.

Creative Arts, Culture & Skill Sharing

We recognise the importance of creativity, cultural connection, and intergenerational learning. Individuals with skills in art, music, sewing, woodworking, traditional crafts, storytelling, or other creative practices may have opportunities to share their knowledge through community workshops and activities. We welcome culturally respectful learning and recognise the importance of honouring the communities and knowledge holders from whom cultural practices originate.

Administrative & Organisational Support

Behind every successful community program are people helping make the work possible. Volunteers may contribute through event planning, fundraising support, communications, grant research, website development, organisational projects, and other administrative activities.

Housing & Community Development

As Seeds of Liberation CDC works toward future housing and community development initiatives, we hope to create volunteer opportunities supporting housing stability, community improvement projects, resource development, and partnerships that strengthen access to safe and sustainable living environments.

Your Time. Your Skills. Your Community.

You do not need to have experienced incarceration, foster care, family separation, or other systemic barriers to make a meaningful contribution.

We welcome people from all backgrounds who share our commitment to dignity, accountability, cultural respect, family restoration, and community well-being.

Together, we can plant seeds of opportunity that grow for generations.

Volunteer opportunities will become available as programs and organisational capacity develop. Some roles involving children or vulnerable individuals may require screening, training, or background checks.
